Frequently asked questions

Pricing, timelines, payment, confidentiality, and how an engagement works.

Frequently asked

Do you only work in medtech and electronics?
No. ZKK Consulting is a market research and business growth consulting firm. We research across industries. Medical devices, FDA-related research, electronics, and FCC-related research are where our bench runs deepest, and we keep those capabilities visible because they are unusual for a firm our size. They are not the limit of what we cover. If you are unsure whether your field is a fit, describe it and we will give you a straight answer, including if the answer is no.
What does an engagement cost?
Professional market research and analysis starts at $999 with the Launchpad package. Growth is $1,999 and Comprehensive is $3,499. Patent Landscape Research is a standalone $1,349. Add-ons are generally $250 each, with more labor-intensive services generally around $499 and up. Custom scopes are quoted using the same pricing standards. Full detail is on the services page.
How long does an engagement take?
Timelines are set individually with each client. Depth of research, the number of add-ons, how quickly we receive your materials, and your own deadlines all move the schedule, so we agree a timeline during scoping and write it into the Statement of Work rather than publishing a fixed number here. If you are working toward a hard date, say so early and we will tell you honestly what is realistic.
Do you give recommendations or advice?
We provide research and analysis. We present sources, assumptions, findings, estimates, and possible considerations, and we walk you through what the research shows so you can decide with better information. We do not provide legal, regulatory, medical, tax, accounting, or investment advice, and nothing we deliver substitutes for a licensed professional in those fields. Every business decision remains yours.
How does payment work?
Each engagement is a fixed price split in two. After the discovery call we send a Statement of Work to sign, then a Stripe invoice for the 50% deposit. Work begins once the signed SOW and the deposit are both in. The remaining 50% is invoiced on completion, when the finished deliverable is in your hands. The same applies to packages, standalone services, and custom scopes.
Do you sign NDAs?
Yes. We are glad to sign a mutual NDA before you share anything proprietary, and confidentiality is the default on every engagement. Your business, data, and findings stay private and are never reused or resold. Where an engagement warrants it, a limited non-solicitation or exclusivity term can be discussed and set out in the Statement of Work.
What if I need something not listed on the site?
Ask. The services and add-ons shown here are examples, not an exhaustive catalog, and a large share of our work is scoped from scratch. Describe the research or deliverable you need and we will evaluate the scope and quote it using the same general pricing standards. Unusual scopes simply require a bit more information up front.
Who am I contracting with?
You're contracting with ZKK Consulting LLC, the Texas company Zolomon and Jad co-founded. Every Master Services Agreement, Statement of Work, mutual NDA, and invoice is issued in that name.
Do you offer revisions?
One round of revisions is included with every engagement. You have 5 business days after delivery to send one consolidated set of changes, and we refine the deliverable so it matches what we scoped.
Do you have a referral program?
Yes. Introduce us to a business we end up working with and you receive 15% off your next package once their engagement is signed and fully paid. Full terms are on the referral program page.
